Purpose and Choice . . .

Look at Choice in the light of religion . . .
We're created, given our own planet
and a free will to do whatever we want,
Perfect right ?
But Noooo, God has to go and ruin it
by offering an opportunity to have something
to compare Goodness to, Evil.
So we take the bait (choice)
and become like God and "Know" something,
What do we "Know" ? we're naked and afraid.
God gives us clothes(our attempt wasn't good enough)
threatens us with death
and kicks us out of Paradise.
It doesn't sound like free will anymore
under a threat of death and separation
but it hurts Her, more than it hurts us.
So we've been killing and dying to find our way
back to God and Paradise.
Is God All Knowing ?
Did She see this coming ? Of course She did...

Now We have Purpose . . .

God promised a Savior
but didn't say when He would come
and in the mean time we try all sorts of ways
to appease this angry God.
To make a long story short, there's a lot of
sacrifices, rape, lying,stealing, fighting and killing.
A lot of wasted lives and still no Savior,
but a Purpose, to be sure.
Then One day, at last; The Savior arrives ...
Another long story short ...
He's a homeless guy that does miracles
(healing the sick,raising the dead,forgiving sins)
tears down the religion of the day,
teaches and says a lot of radical and weird things
about God and Love that we still don't understand
to this day.
It's even told that He said more things
than were written .
now we're told we have a complete story of Him,
so the other stuff must not be important,
even though He said He was the Word of God.
It was probably just politics, sports, hunting and fishing talk.
Hell, He probably even talked about women,
you know the ones,
like that Mary girl, scandalous.
Not surprising, the very ones
who were expecting this Savior
and knew all the stories concerning Him,
reject and kill Him.
The ironic thing is, that was His Purpose.
Live a perfect life, take the penalty for our sins,
again, rejection and death in place of All People
(living and/or already dead ?) and finally,
make a way back to God.
Before He went back to Paradise,
He said to Love God, Love each other
and tell others the Good News,
that God isn't mad any more,
their sins are forgiven
and that they are capable of doing
greater things than He did

Our Purpose . . .

Be Holy ( separate ourselves from those
who don't believe like we do) !
Meet Together ( sing songs about God,
give money to further His Work,
learn more about His Book and what He wants from us,
and fellowship( picnics, potlucks and blogsites) )
Share the Good News ( Judge anyone
who doesn't share our beliefs,
let them know they'll suffer and burn for eternity,
Praise God )
Honestly Worry . . . ( maybe this whole thing
is made up and I'll never make it back to God
because I'm never really Good Enough (not worthy not worthy)
Proudly Proclaim . . . I'm Perfect and You're Not,
I'm Right and You're Wrong, I Have It and You Don't
Come Back On Sunday
And Do It Again . . .
