It was Great to see you this Sunday
and to meet Your wife at last...
We really didn't get a chance to chat that morning
except to laugh about the blog...

i missed Your comment about me
"not believing" your motives being pure...
I do believe they are...
and your "paycheck for preaching" does
"oppress" you in many ways,
Nobody want to get fired...
we have talked about this before,
maybe you forgot...
So...
You are on the "right side" of the fence
For affecting change...

Seeing as we're all family here...
Right Church ???
What i meant was...

Please...
Make up your mind...
You started a change in Chicago...
YOU... "Did It" !!!
i desire to be a "part"
to bring about that change too
and i'm not alone...

We've Talked about It
Blogged about It
Many read the book You recommended...
We've casted a bit of vision
for an alternative "program"
for reaching the people in our community...
People Like Us...

And still...
business as usual...
Church Leadership drags it's butt...

Leadership would rather clone the same church
it rants about "blowing up".
Talk about sleeping in our
"Comfort Zone"...

Why ???
Commitment... Trust... Fear...

Leaders want us to
Commit to "putting on a boring show"...
Then "berate" the team and congregation
For not getting into it...
Duh... I wonder why...

So we keep "trying" to get into it...
To gain Trust...

Then...
When leadership Trusts you...
Maybe... Just Maybe...
You can serve
the way God created you to serve...
Don't submit and you're called divisive
and they think they can kick you out...
All the while they cry about
taking "hits" for being Pastor...
Boo Hoo..
It's Part of the Calling...
Jesus took a few "hits" too...

While we're on the subject...
Sheep take "hits" too
and we're not even getting
"paid for it"
and few...
ever get recognized
for their service...

Serve the Pastor
Instead of the other way around...

Now let's talk about Fear...
Fear that people won't except
"changing" a boring service that as
Another Pastor/Friend says...
Pays The Bills...

i am sorry...
But that is Plain Lame...
My point again...
Leadership = Power = Oppression
Followers = Money/Resources = Being Oppressed

Leaders...
my advice... take it or leave it...

Don't Inspire or get people Excited
if you're not willing to release them
to realize their dreams...

i believe you'll find that many of the leaders
aren't leaders at all...
Like you stated...
The followers (the oppressed)
will be the leaders...
Revolution is funny that way...

Hopefully the "new leaders" will lead
EveryOne to "Freedom" not bondage
and "Love"... Not Duty (works)...
