"A Word About Progression" . . .

Definition: A continuous and connected series.

i'm a musician and the first thing i learned
even as a child, was that music "Moves".

Now i just don't mean
that the rhythm can move you,
or that loud music can even move your clothes
and drive people out of a room,
that definitely is true.

Music can also move you emotionally,
it has a magic that can take you places,
by "remembering memories".

Music draws out all emotion ...
love, joy, laughter, sadness, anger, etc ...
and that is a beautiful thing.

"Play that Funky Music" . . .

What i'm talking about is technical.
Playing music.
In particular, a "chord progression".
One chord after another ...
A bed or foundation of harmony,
that allows a beautiful melody to lie upon.

When a musician plays a wrong chord or note
in a progression, dissonance or discord occurs.

Discord: a harsh or unpleasant sound.

Now unless you like "acid jazz" or "experiMental" music,
Dissonance is Not Good . . .
Interesting, but Not Good . . .

"Gods Music" . . .

We are God's music, because HE inhabits our Praise.
Praises expressed because of His Great Love for us.

"What about the progression" ? ? ?

Oh Yeah,
"Love" is the first chord in the progression
of our "Praise and Worship" to GOD !!!

many in the "Band/Body" start with "Self Control"
and are "out of tune" before the music even starts.
