Beliefs create Behaviors . . .
One cannot make a long term change in behaviors
without addressing the beliefs that underlie them.
So i propose,
What lessons have we learned
about believing in our institutions of
government/politics, law/justice, economics/business,
the military/war, medicine/healing and religion/God ?
This question is sincerely asked to be considered
inwardly as well as globally.
Speaking as an American human observing My world,
i ask myself if we're more highly evolved or just as
primitive and barbaric as we've ever been.
Maybe our bombs have gotten smarter, but are we ?
And we've become better at deception,
i know i'm thankful the media cleans up
images of our destruction.
Is that a pure reflection of the kind of world
we want to see or live in ?
The kind of superiority we're accustomed to
doesn't appear as if it's going to last much longer.
Now i am a strong supporter of democracy in theory,
but i question who benefits the most
from the kind of democratic countries we've sponsored ?
The People in theory or the Few in reality ?
What happens when those countries
start to imitate the kind of democracy
we model here in America ? Or maybe, they already have.
Oh Well, daddy always said,
son don't talk about politics, sex and religion.
Sorry daddy,
We're governed by sex and religion ...
Kids, Are You Behaving Yourselves ?
