"Is Church Boring, Is God Boring, or Am I Bored " ???

For many,
it might be time
to move out of Dad's House,
Grow Up, and Get A Life.

i Love my Mom and we have a Great relationship,
but we're different.
When i visit, our conversations are about Her past,
Our past and Her present...
Topics include ... Health, Family, T.V., Food and Travel.
Even my Mom knows this is Boring!!!

But what really (Revives) Her
is to hear about me and the family adventures.
my Mom always exclaims
" Never a Dull Moment In Your Lives" !!!

She "Lives" vicariously" through us,
Her past comes alive as she remembers Her "Glory Days"
She vows to "Live" more in the Present,
and "Hopes" for the Future.
She is always "Fired Up" after a visit.

"Addicts in the House of the LORD" . . .

Now it never ceases to Amaze me when people
who "Walk With God" say they are bored.
They talk about Family, Health, WORK,
Movies, Music, T.V., Food and Travel
and More about WORK!

When talk gets to God, they "relive" past victories,
present victories are usually made up,
or far and few and in between.

They bitch about the church, pastors, praise songs,
elders, deacons, seekers, finders, sinners and slackers.

Ministries that once held Purpose and gave Joy
have become a burden to heavy to carry.

They're Jonesin' for a "God Fix" !
They"re desperate for some "Pure God"
but settle for a cheap thrill. A Rush !
(any revival is better than feeling numb).
But the Rush wears off.
Like any addiction, there is a need for More.

"With God, It's No Different" . . .

Most believers are sick from the written "Word"
i believe they're lactose intolerant.
Daddy says ... Drinking milk gives you cramping and gas.

That's why they have trouble reading it.
Oh they hear a voice telling them it's the devil
that is keeping them from reading,
but they know better, they're bored.
They have read it All before.

but it's the Holy Spirit dwelling within
that contains the "Pure God Fix"
believers are searching for.
They're afraid to Trust that "still small voice",
"How do I know it's God, they cry" ?
So they just "try" to keep reading (Yawn).

While God is pleading, "Get off the nipple, Take and Eat".

"Church Sucks, (No it doesn't, Yes it does, No it doesn't)"

my opinion, i like to visit "Church" as often as i can.
i don't care a lick about the service, but i know what i like.
i'm drawn to Expressive Worship,
i have a Passion for Intercessory Prayer,
i Love to be Challenged by Teachers of the Word,
and i look forward to Fellowship.

Some times i just leave "Church" though,
ya see, i have a Life to Live and i've learned
i can do all of the above
whenever i want and as often as i want, and i Do!

i guess i Love Hanging with sinners the best though,
Most want to get High just to Feel something too,
But they too, just get numb.

So i tell them i can turn them on to the
"Best High" they'll ever experience.
